Well, I finally did it. I have jumped on the blogging train. I may not be as artsy or creative as my lovely friends who have also joined the train but life is simply too good not to share. As this school year begins to wrap up I can't help but look back and wonder where the heckkk did time go?! This year has been one for the books but for different reasons than you'd think. It has been a great year for sure but also an unexpected, eventful sophomore year. Heartache, loss, joy, love and fun sum up this rollercoaster of a school year but mostly it has been a year of learning, growing and GREAT memories! I have made the bestest of friends and strengthened old friendships which is more than I could of ever wanted. The most exciting part of this year however has been preparing for my life long dream; yes, I am going to AFRICA...FINALLY.
I leave for Lugazi, Uganda on May 8th with two of my best friends Karli McCall Moats and Olivia Beth Diederich. We will be leaving the US, heading to London, then to Kenya and finally Uganda where we will be for about 6.5 weeks doing service and humanitarian work with HELP International. It's going to be a once in a lifetime DREAM come true and I could not be more excited for our adventure.
